We’re in the latest edition of ‘Clogs and Gansey’…

We’re in the latest edition of ‘Clogs and Gansey, the newsletter of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal Society, which is currently produced and distributed to members three times a year. Issue 60 includes a history of Bank Hall Dry Dock.

The newsletter contains articles and features on the heritage of the Canal – focusing on boatmen and boatwomen, the boat families, the boats themselves and the infrastructure of the Canal.

But it also looks at the contemporary value of the Canal; where features have looked at leisure activities enjoyed on the Canal and the canal towpath along with discussing the environmental benefits of the Canal and the canal corridor.

You can find out more about the Leeds and Liverpool Canal Society on their website. You can read more about the newsletter and donate to the society here.
